For decades, AFB has stood for the professional and efficient automation of a wide range of manufacturing processes.

As early as 2010 we were able to make automated workpiece handling possible, by using a transfer car with a special load handling device to integrate it firmly into the production line of our customer.

For this purpose we developed a tailor-made transfer car with lift mast, rotary unit and telescopic fork for the transport of machine pallets to load and unload workpieces automatically from several milling machines.

Due to specific requirements of the client a special solution had to be found. It should be ensured, that no impairments are caused to the transfer car despite its use in a machining production environment.

The main task of this was to transport and exchange machine pallets with fixed superstructures to defined parking spaces.

In order to enable a fast processing of the transport cycles, several spaces were set up on the transfer car.

In cooperation with the rotating device and the telescopic fork unit, this enabled fast and safe automated transport as well as precise transfer of the transported goods at highest cycle times.

Thanks to the integrated lift mast, all desired admission and submission heights were achieved. In close cooperation with the customer, this project was successfully implemented within a very short time.

All requirements were fulfilled to the client’s complete satisfaction.

This project enabled AFB Anlagen- und Filterbau GmbH & Co. KG to prove itself as a successful partner in the implementation of transfer cars and help the customer to realize automated production.
