For one of our long-standing customers, we successfully carried out a complete overhaul of a transfer car with a rotating unit and suspended telescopic fork unit. The retrofit project involved the complete disassembly, overhaul and modernisation of the transfer car to improve the performance and reliability.
Disassembly and transport
Our experienced mechanics first carried out the professional dismantling of the transfer car on site. The complex logistics of removal and transport were fully coordinated by our team to ensure a smooth process.
Technical improvements and complete overhaul
All components were dismantled and analysed at our factory. The mast was fitted with a new guide rail and the original welded construction was replaced by a modern bolted solution. The telescopic fork unit received a general overhaul.
All wearing parts such as wheels, ball bearings, belts, shafts and buffers have been replaced with high quality new parts. After professional surface treatment and repainting, all components were reassembled.
Expert installation and ramp-up
After the shipment back to the customer, our installation team took over the complete mechanical installation. This included coordination of the rail installation, precise integration of the transfer car into the existing system and technical support during commissioning to ensure an optimum start.
Conclusion: Retrofit for longer life
This retrofit project shows how effectively a professional overhaul can increase the life and efficiency of a transfer car. As a result of our retrofit work, the transfer car has been completely overhauled. The customer now benefits from improved maintainability and increased service life.
